How to add Gadgets to your blogger page

What is a gadget?

To begin with, you must understand what gadgets are exactly. In real life gadgets are small things which do "something useful" which makes your life simple and saves your valuable time. In case of blogging Gadgets are sometimes called as widgets and here as well gadgets are some small code which do "something useful" to your blog saving your valuable time. Later on in this post i will tell you how to add gadgets to your posts easily with all the steps involving. Before that i will just introduce you three main ways to add a gadget to your blog.

• Using Add a Gadget wizard given in blog Layout option by blogger.
• You can manually install code your blogger template by going to template>>edit HTML 
• Some websites will give you a option "Add to Blogger" using that to add a gadget to your blog.

It is as easy as that. I will not list out all the advantages of using gadgets in to your blogger blog page but i will mention few important.

• It is very easy to install Gadgets and it is very less time consuming.
• You can install Gadgets into any part of your blogger blog.
• While installing they are very easy to understand.
• There are many things which you can easily add using gadgets than manually coding them.

Add a Gadget

Go to the Layout section from your blogger dashboard. You will be redirected to following window.

There click on Add a Gadget link in the area where you want to place your gadget be above post area or sidebar or footer. It will redirect you to the pop-up window where you can choose desired Gadget of yours, At the end of the list all the important gadgets available and there major functioning

As you can see in above image there is list gadgets from which you can choose a best suitable and required gadget for your blog. Here to find more gadgets scroll down till the end. If you dont find gadget you want then in the left corner there is option More Gadgets where you can find more Gadgets. One thing to avoid here is not using Third Party gadgets. That is in this gadgets section you will find Gadgets which are build by Google, Gadgets which are build buy some recognized companies such as Amazon, Times Now etc. But there will be some gadgets which are designed by some third party personal which might be harmful for your blog in many ways, such as SEO, page ranking, Adsense cpc etc. So i will suggest you to not use such Gadgets.

Click on the plus sign on the right hand side that will redirect you to gadgets requirements or inputs.

Here i have chosen HTML/JavaScript gadget so i will have to add HTML code as a input.

Then click on Save button and your gadget will be saved on your blogger Layout. Then click on Save Arrangements to save that and upload that gadget your blogger blog.

You can re position the saved gadget very easily for doing so follow the following steps.

• First click on the gadget and hold the mouse button.
• Then move the mouse while holding mouse button.
• Bring gadget to desired location where you want to add the gadget and release mouse button.
• Gadget will get moved to new location

Labels	Lets your readers pick a category and see a list of posts from your blog with that category.
Popular posts	Shows the most-frequently read posts from your blog
Pages	Similar to Labels and the linked-list gadget, this one can show a list of either Pages from your blog or external sources, and it can also be used to make a menu bar for your blog
Blogroll	Highlights other blogs that you follow
Picture	Shows a picture, of your choice, which can link to somewhere as well.
RSS	Displays the last few posts from an RSS feed - this can be any feed that you choose - not just your own one.
HTML/Javascript	Lets you add code that came from a 3rd party, or that you wrote yourself, without having to edit your template.
Link List	A general-purpose gadget for adding a list of web-sites and blog pages, either inside or outside your blog.
