As a new blogger you will face a problem choosing blogging platform. There are number of blogging platforms such as blogger(BlogSpot), WordPress, Weebly, Tumblr etc. They all offer different things and tries to provide you best blogging experience ever.
Today I will talk only about best two blogging platforms blogger and WordPress. Since both offers Free blogging platforms they are the best way to start your blogging career. Both the blogging platforms have there advantages and disadvantages which i will tell you and from that we will decide which blogging platform is best for beginner bloggers and professional bloggers.
I started my blogging career with BlogSpot as it was very easy to use for a beginner blogger with very less knowledge of how to write blog and web development. From my own experience of using blogger.com, WordPress.com and WordPress.org i will tell why i found blogger.com to be the best blogging platform. So i Will list differences between this two great blogging platforms and advantages of BlogSpot.com over WordPress.com.
Domain name
BlogSpot provides you a free domain name which looks like seoblogginghelp.blogspot.com even wordpress.com also provides you a free domain name which looks like sitename.wordpress.com on the other hand wordpress.org is a hosted blogging service for which we require to purchase a domain name (2 - 3$) which looks more professional and authority [example : www.sitename.com]. Purchasing domain name is very easy and cheap now a days I will make a separate post on How to purchase a suitable domain name for your blog.
I always will recommend you to purchase a domain name and use for your blogspot.com or wordpress.org blog. That will make your blog look more authentic and authority.
Even if you choose not to buy a domain name for your blog as i have mentioned blogger and wordpress both will provide you free domain name. But here blogger have a advantage over wordpress Since sitename.blogspot.com looks more authentic and trustworthy than sitename.wordpress.com
