5 step guide to write a successful blog

 

Since lately I have been writing about blogging and guided you with few aspects of blogger blogging platform. When you start blogging there are certain thing which you must keep in mind to write a successful blog. When I started blogging I made enormous mistakes with my other blogs but I am hoping to overcome those mistakes and make this blog one of my best blogs which readers will love. I will list down few key points every blogger should remember and follow to make their blog a success.

Content

Blogging is nothing but sharing your expertise on some topic or niche or in other words writing extensively about a niche you know very well and you are up to date with current trends. So basically blogging is about writing a content and hence there are few important things you should follow and keep in mind while writing your blog post.

As someone have said for a blogger “content is a king”, And as you know there is a immense competition In every niche be it blogging, online money making, finance, tech or sports etc. So to stand out among your competitors you should treat content as a king that is you must write unique articles. What I will suggest for beginners is that first cover all the important ideas related to your blog niche and basic ideas as well and make keyword rich posts about those ideas. For doing so get help from your competitors blog posts on same topics but remember “Never copy any blog post” Google will know that you are copying your blog content you will have to pay for that in different ways like your blog ranking, adsense revenue etc. s remember my advice and never copy content from other blog rather try to write posts on topics you know very well. To avid grammatical and spelling mistakes use google word for writing blog post. So when you start blogging rather than directly focusing on SEO, revenue and page visits I will suggest you to focus on content you are providing your readers. That will give your blog more authority and will create a loyal reader base for your blog then you can look for various monetization methods for your blog which I will list in blog post How to monetize your blog to get maximum income. 

Headlines or post titles

Yes in my opinion they are of the best candidates to attract more traffic to your site. You must create attractive and at the same time such a headlines or post titles which will provide readers in short view of what is there in a post. For attracting more traffic to your blog you can use buzz fid title for example “You don’t know john chow’s success formula” etc. or you can try listicles or lists such as “8 hacks for your iPhone”.

In my opinion this blog post titles woks far better than usual titles you use. So do not take headlines or blog post titles lightly, research on then check long tail keywords in that niche and try to add one long tail keyword in your blog post title. Guest blogging

There are few pros and few cons of guest blogging. When you start blogging for getting traffic you can consider writing a guest post on already established blog in your niche. But it is good not to write a guest post for backlinks, if you write quality content you will get backlinks. So write guest posts to educate readers who love your niche and make yourself a brand. Guest post Is a one way to promote your blog not a way to get backlinks. While writing guest always read and follow the policy and ethics of writing guest post.

SEO

Every blogger new or pro must be aware of SEO that is search engine optimization, so before going further let me tell you, Search and hence organic traffic is very important for any serious blogger. For that one must be aware of search engine optimization ethics that decides how google or search engines rank your page but let me tell you one thing google considers 200+ things to rank your blog or website. Let’s not worry about them for now I will tell you many ways of SEO in my other posts. But always remember one thing despite all the competition if you write best posts with something new every time I am sure you will automatically get a good search engine ranking. Despite this here I will list few easy to understand tips for SEO.

1.     When writing posts always arrange your content under headings and subheadings and remember to add titles and captions to image you use.

2.     Interlink your content so that both humans and bots can easily find quality content on your blog.

3.     Always focus on typography because reading experience matters a lot.

4.     Make sure your web design is clean, easy to navigate and responsive. If not try to make it responsive and reduce page loading time.

Old articles and Page views

Yes you read it right old articles are very important to write a successful blog, always read and edit old articles if they are not important remove old articles. For example if you have article about Orkut then it is not required anymore and it will not get you any traffic so just remove that article from your blog and concentrate on those articles which have potential to get more readers. Keep checking for page views; number of page views is not a measure of successful blog. Yes keep looking for average time reader spends on your blog and bounce rate. Make sure bounce rate for your blog is less try to analyze which articles are having more bounce rate. Then rewrite the post title because may be that post tittle is giving a wrong impression about the article and they are coming to your blog but instead of finding what they are looking for and bouncing back. 

Social Networks

Social networks plays crucial role in blog marketing so harness the power of social media. Learn how to improve Facebook likes, Keep posting on twitter, make youtube channel. Market your blog as much as possible only after you have written enough post to keep your audience engaged on your blog.

Last but not the least with market trend try to provide your readers something new. Yes that makes your readers loyal to your blog and they will surely subscribe to your blog. A healthy email list will lead you to become successful blogger.

Follow the professional rules of writing for that read professional blogs and learn how they write. Read many books and learn from them that will make you perfect.

Keep on writing that will make you perfect. Write many posts make drafts and then convert them to a perfect blog post.
