How to add CSS code to blogger

Today i will make this simple guide to tell you to How to add CSS to blogger without editing HTML of the blog. CSS is nothing but Cascading Style Sheet which describes the look and formatting of markup language. In simple words it defines Design and Formatting of your blog or you can modify your blogs design and formatting using CSS.

There are two different methods to add CSS code to blogger template. First i will tell you the way where we don't need to edit HTML for your blogger template.

Adding CSS code using template designer

This method is very easy method where you can use blogger template designer to add CSS code to blogger.

• First go to your blogger dashboard and click on "Template", you will be redirected to following screen. Then click on "Customize" button.
  
• Click on "Advanced" tab.
• Then select "Add CSS " and add CSS code in the White box where Add CSS here is written.                                                
  
  
• Then click on "Apply to  Blog" and you are done. CSS will be added to your template. 

This method put some limitation over adding CSS to blogger which are, 

You can not edit your template CSS code using this method, That is if you want to edit CSS code of template you will have to opt for second method. You can add external CSS and edit it anytime though. It is also important to note here that CSS codes starts and ends with <style Type=css>......</style> But when you add CSS using above method do not add this two lines or commands or that will give you a error. And remember that we are making this changes to your blogger template so when you change the template CSS will get removed so you will have to add it again with other template.

Adding CSS using edit HTML

Another method of adding CSS code to your blog is using edit HTML code. So i will brief you with the method.

• Go to your blogger Dashboard and click on "Template" and then Click on "edit HTML".
  
• Then you will be redirected to following window where press "Ctrl + F" and search              ]]></b:skin> tag.
• Above this tag add desired CSS code to make changes in blogger template.
  
  
• Then click on Save Template button and you are done.

This method have advantage over above method that you can edit HTML code and so can edit CSS of template itself. But this method is slightly complicated method to use so i will suggest those who dont have knowledge of CSS and HTML should use first method.
